Florida TRIO 2024 SCHOLARSHIP
Two pre-collegiate, two adult traditional, and two adult non-traditional (six in total) scholarships will be awarded. Each Florida TRIO Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $500.

Nomination/Application Process:
Nominations can only be made by a TRIO Program Staff Member, who is a member of FL TRIO.
Only one nomination may be submitted per TRIO program from each institution or agency. Multiple applications from a single TRIO program will not be considered.
The TRIO Program Staff Member must submit the application on behalf of the applicant.
Applications must be submitted by upload only.
Eligibility Criteria:
Each Florida TRIO scholarship applicant must:
1. Currently participate in one of the TRIO programs in Florida.
2. Meet the criteria for one of these categories:
TRIO Pre-Collegiate (two awards)
ETS, UB, and UB Math/Science participants who are high school seniors.
Required minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. GPA must be included in the high school transcript.
SAT or ACT scores must also be submitted.
TRIO Adult Traditional (two awards)
SSS, VUB, EOC, or McNair project participants.
Completed at least one term of postsecondary education.
Required minimum GPA of 2.5, included in the transcript.
TRIO Adult Non-Traditional (two awards)
SSS, VUB, EOC, or McNair project participants.
Applicants must have completed at least one term of postsecondary education.
Required minimum GPA of 2.5, included in the transcript.
Applicants must be 24+ years of age and meet ONE of the following requirements:
Support dependents
Be an active-duty service member or veteran
Graduated with GED (did not graduate with standard high school diploma)
Did not attend college until a year or more after completion of high school
Had a one-year or more disruption in pursuing a degree (left school and came back)
Documents to submit:
**PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW THE RUBRIC FOR THE APPROPRIATE CATEGORY**
1. An official Florida TRIO Scholarship Application completed in its entirety. Included in the application is a section for an essay of approximately 350 words.
2. An unofficial transcript, which lists cumulative GPA and all courses taken through the fall term of 2023.
3. A letter of recommendation from the sponsoring TRIO staff member.
4. Pre-Collegiate applicants must submit SAT or ACT scores
